Bisher auf meiner Reise durch Europa sein Anfang April 2022 ist mir das Zigeunerleben nicht verleidet – im Gegenteil: Es ist spannend so viele verschiedene Wohnungen und Gastgeber kennen zu lernen und sich immer wieder neu ein Zuhause einzurichten… es gibt überall Vor- und Nachteile… aber so bleibe ich in Bewegung und werde gezwungenermassen leichter, das heisst: Ich realisiere immer mehr wie wenig ich eigentlich brauche! - Aber ein warmes Bett und ein Dach über dem Kopf zu wissen, ist ein gutes Gefühl! Vor allem, wenn es ein solch wunderschönes Zuhause wie Tidewater (https://www.tridentholidayhomes.ie/rentals/apartment-baltimore-tidewater-hoiiday-apartment-376316.html) in Baltimore ist. Ich habe dieses Apartment wirklich genossen umso mehr bei schlechtem Wetter! : ) Dieses konnte ich aus meinen Fenstern in alle Richtungen beobachten… nicht nur die Sonne und die Wolken verändern das Bild, sondern auch die Gezeiten und der Wind.

So far on my trip through Europe since beginning of April 2022, I did not get tired of my gypsy life - on the contrary: It's exciting to get to know so many different apartments and hosts and to set up a new home again and again... there are advantages and disadvantages everywhere... but that way I keep moving and inevitably become lighter, which means: I realize more and more how little I actually need! - But knowing that I have a warm bed and a roof over my head is a good feeling! Especially when it's a beautiful home like Tidewater (https://www.tridentholidayhomes.ie/rentals/apartment-baltimore-tidewater-hoiiday-apartment-376316.html) in Baltimore. I really enjoyed this apartment, even more so when the weather was bad! : ) This I could observe from my windows in all directions... not only the sun and the clouds change the picture but also the tides and the wind.

Jogging Ringarogy Island

Ich genoss auch meine Spaziergänge durch Roberts riesigen Garten… und ich erkundete meine Umgebung joggend, und zwar über die Brücke auf die nächste Insel Ringarogy Island…

I also enjoyed walking around Robert's huge garden... and I explored my surroundings by jogging, across the bridge to the next island Ringarogy Island...

Skibbereen

Am Samstag bewegte ich mein Auto und fuhr nach Skibbereen zum Wochenmarkt. Und wenn ich schon mal in einem grösseren Ort war, erledigte ich gleich den Wocheneinkauf, denn hier gibt es eine Auswahl von Einkaufsmöglichkeiten und auch Tankstellen. Übrigens: Die Benzinpreise in Irland sind relativ günstig: EUR 1.60/lt – variieren jedoch um 10 Cent, je nach dem wo man ist und wie viel Konkurrenz die Tankstellen haben!

On Saturday I moved my car and drove to Skibbereen to the weekly farmers market. And once being in a larger town, I did my weekly shopping, because there's a selection of shops and gas stations here. By the way: The petrol prices in Ireland are relatively cheap: EUR 1.60/lt - but vary by 10 cents, depending on where you are and how much competition the petrol stations have!
