zum Ballinwilling Strand fegen… der ist nur bei Ebbe sichtbar und scheint unendlich…
Nach einem herzhaften Frühstück bei Margret im Castle Farm B&B (https://castlefarmbb.com) machte ich mich
um 13 Uhr auf den Weg…

…250 km
alles der Küste entlang… Zuerst nach Cobh, dem Hafen von Cork. In Kinsale wurde
die Navigation für mich erheblich leichter, denn ab hier gibt es den Wild
Atlantic Way (https://www.thewildatlanticway.com), der der ganzen Westküste entlang verläuft – ideal! : )
…250 km all along the coast… First to Cobh, the port of Cork. In Kinsale, navigation became a lot easier for me, because from here there is the Wild Atlantic Way (https://www.thewildatlanticway.com) signed out, which runs along the entire west coast - ideal! : )

Auf der Landzunge
Old Head herrschte plötzlich der Nebel - dann eine Stunde später in Castletownshead
Idylle pur! In Skibbereen, 10 km von meinem neuen Ort entfernt, erledigte ich
die nötigsten Einkäufe. Auf dem Land hat es sehr wenig Einkaufsmöglichkeiten
hier in Irland. Die grossen Läden (meist Spar und Lidl) sind oft ausserhalb der
Städte zu finden und 7 Tage offen (meistens 12 Stunden 9-9).
On the promontory Old Head the fog suddenly reigned - then an hour later in Castletownshead pure idyll! In Skibbereen, 10 km from my new place, I did the basic shopping. In the countryside there is very little shopping opportunities here in Ireland. The big shops (mostly Spar and Lidl) can often be found outside towns and are open 7 days a week (usually 12 hours 9-9).

Und dann
um 20 Uhr traf ich im Tidewater, 5 km ausserhalb Baltimore, ein. Wow! Und das für
11 Nächte!!! : ) Ich war ganz glücklich mit Bebhinn & s ARobertpartment,
das ich bei Trident (https://www.tridentholidayhomes.ie/rentals/apartment-baltimore-tidewater-hoiiday-apartment-376316.html)
gebucht hatte. Ja, bei der verzweifelten Suche nach einer Unterkunft im Internet
stiess ich auf Trident, eine irische Firma, die die eh schon zu teuren Preise
nicht noch teurer macht (ca. 20% günstiger als andere Anbieter)! : ) Zudem sind
die netten Mädels äusserst hilfsbereit und erledigen die ganze Buchung am
Telefon! : ))

And then at 8 pm I arrived at Tidewater, 5 km outside of Baltimore. Wow!
And that for 11 nights!!! : ) I was quite happy with Bebhinn & Roberts apartment,
which I had booked through Trident (https://www.tridentholidayhomes.ie/rentals/apartment-baltimore-tidewater-hoiiday-apartment-376316.html).
Yes, when I was desperately looking for accommodation on the Internet, I came
across Trident, an Irish company that doesn't make the already too expensive
prices even more expensive (about 20% cheaper than other providers)! : ) In
addition, the nice girls are extremely helpful and did the whole booking on the
phone for me! : ))
