Um 13 Uhr
verliess ich die perfekten Gastgeber im Libgate House B&B (https://www.facebook.com/angela.hilbrecht) und fuhr los der Südküste
entlang Richtung Westen… Ich hatte Zuversicht eine neue Bleibe zu finden, denn der
nationale Feiertag Bank Holiday hatte gestern sein Ende gefunden!
At 1 pm I left the perfect hosts at Libgate House B&B (https://www.facebook.com/angela.hilbrecht) and headed west along the south coast... I was confident of finding a new place to stay as the national bank holiday came to an end yesterday!

So fuhr
ich den ganzen Tag der Küste entlang und machte mich ab 18 Uhr auf die Suche einer
Unterkunft, was mich fast zur Verzweiflung brachte… ich fuhr immer weiter, bis
ich um 22 Uhr in der Stadt Dungarvan landete. Eine Stunde lang klapperte ich
alle Hotels (und was nach einem Bett aussah) vergeblich ab! Und nun hatte ich
keinen Tropfen Benzin mehr und fuhr zur Tankstelle, die ich gesehen hatte… nur
war die um 23 Uhr bereits geschlossen… Ich sah auf der andern Seite der Strasse
ein Auto mit Leuten geparkt und fragte, ob sie vielleicht wissen, wo ich um
diese Zeit Benzin kriege? Die netten Iren baten mich ihnen zu folgen, es sei
etwas schwierig zu finden… - Nun hatte ich einen vollen Tank aber noch kein
Bett… schüchtern fragte ich das Ehepaar, ob sie etwas für mich wissen um diese
Zeit? Die beiden schauten sich an und luden mich spontan zu ihnen nach Hause
ein… es sei etwa 20 Minuten von hier…
So I drove all day along the coast and from 6 pm I started looking for accommodation which almost drove me to despair... I kept driving until I landed in the town of Dungarvan at 10 pm. For an hour I rattled off all the hotels (and what looked like a bed) in vain! And now I didn't have a drop of gas and drove to the gas station I had seen... only it was already closed at 11 pm... I saw a car with people parked on the other side of the street and asked if they might know where I would get gas at this time? The nice Irish couple asked me to follow them, it was a bit difficult to find... - Now I had a full tank but no bed yet... shyly I asked the couple if they knew anything for me at this time? The two looked at each other and spontaneously invited me to their house... it was about 20 minutes from here...

Ich konnte mein Glück kaum fassen obschon ich keine Ahnung hatte wo ich gelandet war… was ich wusste: bei Mary & Walter, die bereits 3 Spanier beherbergten, und ich hatte eine Bett! : )) Am
nächsten Morgen als ich früh erwachte, schwebte ich noch in meinem
Glücksbewusstsein… Nach einem Frühstück mit Mary und Walter machte ich mich 11
los weiter der Südküste entlang Richtung Westen…
I couldn't believe my luck although I had no idea where I ended up... what I did know was: with Mary & Walter who already hosted 3 Spaniards and I had a bed! : )) The next morning, waking up early, I was still floating in my blissful consciousness... After breakfast with Mary and Walter, I set off further west along the south coast...

...und immer noch auf der Suche
nach einer Bleibe… die sich wieder verzweifelt gestaltete! Dann tat ich, was
ich in solchen Situationen meisten tue: Ich suchte ein gutes Restaurant mit
ebensolchem Essen – und das fand ich im Rosie's Bar (https://www.facebook.com/RosiesBarAndRestaurant)
in Aghada, wo ich leckeres Curry verschlang.
...and still looking for a place to stay... which again turned out to become desperate! Then I did what I usually do in such situations: I looked for a good restaurant with good food – and found it at Rosie's Bar (https://www.facebook.com/RosiesBarAndRestaurant) in Aghada, where I had delicious curry.

Und danach
geht es irgendwie weiter… Ich sprach über mein Problem und jeder im Restaurant begann
für mich eine Lösung zu suchen. So erhielt ich von einer netten Lady den Namen
eines B&B in der Gegend. Diese nette Lady hatte zwar nichts frei, aber
telefonierte einer andern netten Lady: Anne des Sunville B&B (https://sunvillebb.ie) in Bellycotton – genau
wo es mir am besten gefallen hat! Anne & Patrick hatten für 3 Nächte ein
Zimmer frei, das ich gleich bar vorausbezahlte um erleichtert in ein herrliches
Bett zu schlüpfen und mit dem Sonnenuntergang ins Dunkle zu fallen… : )

And thereafter life goes on in one way or another... I talked about my problem and everyone in
the restaurant started looking for a solution for me. That’s how a nice lady
gave me the name of a B&B in the area. That nice lady didn't have anything
available, but she called another nice lady: Anne of the Sunville B&B (https://sunvillebb.ie) in Bellycotton -
exactly where I liked it the most! And she had a room available for 3 nights,
which I immediately paid in advance in order to slip into a wonderful bed and
fall into the dark with sunset... : )
