Wetter in Irland… Ich hatte bisher Glück und super Wetter mit Temperaturen um
25 Grad am Tag! Wie bereits erwähnt, hatten meine Tochter und ich vor 20 Jahren
1 Monat nur Regen… Und nun begann das Wetter zu ändern… es wurde grau… Trotzdem
ist es Sommer für die Iren und sie laufen halb nackt herum bei 15 Grad!!!
Yes the weather in Ireland... I was lucky and had great weather with temperatures around 25 centigrade up to now! As mentioned, 20 years ago my daughter and I only had rain for 1 month... And now the weather started to change... it was turning grey... Still it's summer for the Irish and they walk around half naked with 15 centigrade!!!

Am Samstag
packte ich meine Siebensachen und nach dem Frühstück machte ich mich los zum
Castle Farm B&B (https://castlefarmbb.com)
– nur gerade 15 km weiter in Castlemartyr! : ) Margret gab mir ein hübsches
Zimmer, wo ich mich gleich einnistete… Dann war es Zeit die Umgebung zu
entdecken… Zum Abschluss gab es eine echte Pizza im Big Blue (https://www.facebook.com/bigbluecork)
in Ballycotton.
On Saturday I packed my belongings and after breakfast I headed to Castle Farm B&B (https://castlefarmbb.com) – just 15 km away in Castlemartyr! : ) Margret gave me a nice room, where I nested into right away... Then it was time to discover the surroundings.. I ended the day there with a real pizza at Big Blue (https://www.facebook.com/bigbluecork) in Ballycotton.

Ich konnte bei Margret ein warmes Frühstück auswähen und genoss es nebst dem selbst gebackenen Vollkornbrot, allerlei Brotaufstrichen und frischem Obst. Ich durfte ihr auch meine Wäsche geben, die innert 2 Stunden trocknete. : )
In the morning I choose one of Margret's warm breakfasts and enjoyed it along with her home-baked wholemeal bread, all kinds of spreads and fresh fruit. And she did my laundry, which dried within 2 hours. : )

einen weiteren Cliff Walk in Knockadoom – den wollte ich am Sonntag bewandern… Margret

– nur leider ist hier alles im Teig gebacken!
There's another cliff walk in Knockadoom – which I intended to hike on Sunday... Margret said, there would be yummy food stalls there! : ) And yes: Lobster Pot (https://www.facebook.com/profile.php?id=100010975755819) – but unfortunately everything here is baked in batter!

Am Montag
besuchte ich Youghal, einst die reichste Stadt Irlands. Ich parkierte mein Auto
ausserhalb und wanderte auf dem Boardwalk der Küste entlang zum Zentrum und
zurück in 2 gemütlichen Stunden.

On Monday I visited Youghal, once the wealthiest town in Ireland. I
parked my car outside of town and hiked along the boardwalk and the coast to
downtown and back in 2 leisurely hours.
