Heute war
besseres Wetter vorausgesagt, aber am Morgen war der Himmel noch von dicken
Regenwolken dominiert… von meinem Cliff Cottage (https://www.minauncliffcottages.com) konnte ich das Wetter in allen
Himmelrichtungen beobachten! : )
Better weather was forecast today, but in the morning the sky was still dominated by thick rain clouds... from my Cliff Cottage (https://www.minauncliffcottages.com) I could watch the weather in all directions! : )

Am Mittag
war ich und auch das Wetter bereit um das verpasste Stück des Wild Atlantic Way
(https://www.thewildatlanticway.com) auszukundschaften, das ich am Samstag
auf dem Weg nach Kell, Achill Island, in der Dunkelheit gefahren war… ich fuhr
der Clew Bay entlang bis ein Ort mich für mein Frühstück einladen würde:
By midday I and the weather were ready to explore the missed stretch of the Wild Atlantic Way (https://www.thewildatlanticway.com), that I had driven in the dark on Saturday on the way to Kell, Achill Island... I drove along Clew Bay until a place would invite me for breakfast:

: ) Ein sehr hübsches überschaubares Städtchen mit vielen Brücken und noch mehr
Geschäften! – Ich fand ein köstliches Eis zum Frühstück und vieles mehr…
Westport! : ) A very pretty, manageable town with lots of bridges and even more shops! – I found delicious ice cream for breakfast and much more…

Es war
bereits 15 Uhr, als ich Westport verliess, und es würde bereits um 19 Uhr
eindunkeln… Ich schaffte es nach Clifden in 4 Stunden – alles der Küste und dem
Atlantic Wild Way entlang mir vielen Fotostopps.
It was already 3 pm when I left Westport and it would be getting dark by 7... I made it to Clifden in 4 hours - all along the coast and the Atlantic Wild Way with lots of photo stops.

Von Clifden
war es 1 Stunde Fahrt nach Westport, wo ich auf der Hinfahrt am Hafen hübsche
Möglichkeiten für ein Abendessen entdeckt hatte… Ich wählte die Coast Bar,
Westport Harbour (https://www.westportcoasthotel.ie/coast-bar.html)
und genoss leckeren Seeteufel mit ebensolchen Zutaten! : ) Nun war es nochmals
eine Stunde Fahrt nach Hause – in der Dunkelheit! Ich fahre nicht gerne, wenn
es dunkel ist, und noch weniger, wenn es dazu noch regnet oder die Strassen
nass sind: Zu vieles das blendet, so dass es schwierig ist die wichtigen
Lichter zu unterscheiden… Aber ich schaffte auch das nach 330 km total heute! :
)

From Clifden it was an hour drive to Westport, where I had discovered
some lovely options for dinner at the harbour on the way... I chose the Coast
Bar, Westport Harbor (https://www.westportcoasthotel.ie/coast-bar.html)
and enjoyed delicious monkfish with the same delicious ingredients! : ) Now it
was another hour's drive home - in the dark! I don't like driving when it's
dark, and even less when it's raining or the roads are wet: Too much that's
blinding making it difficult to differenciate the important lights... But I managed
it after a total of 330 km today! : )
