Heute
Morgen verschlief ich die Morgen Meditation im Dzogchen Beara (https://www.dzogchenbeara.org) und machte meine eigene auf meiner herrlichen Terrasse… : )
This morning I didn’t wake up on time for morning meditation at the Dzogchen Beara (https://www.dzogchenbeara.org) and did my own on my beautiful terrace... : )

Um 13 Uhr machte ich mich auf den Weg zur Dursey
Island Seilbahn – übrigens die einzige Seilbahn in Irland. 15 km und 20 Minuten
später erreichte ich sie und konnte mit der nächsten Bahn mit. 5 Minuten später
setzte ich meine Flipflops auf Dursey Island – in kurzen Hosen und Trägershirt:
Ja, es war Sommer mit 25 (gefühlten 30) Grad! : )
At 1 pm I made my way to the Dursey Island cable car – the only cable car in Ireland, by the way. 15 km and 20 minutes later I reached it and was able to catch the next ride. 5 minutes later I put my flip-flops on Dursey Island – in shorts and a tank top: Yes, it was summer with 25 (felt like 30) centigrade! : )

Kaum hatte ich meine 2-stündige und 6,5 km lange
Wanderung gestartet, schwitzte ich dermassen, dass ich im Bikini
weiterwanderte! Das war den Schafen egal, und den 3 Einwohnern, denen ich nicht
begegnet bin, kann es egal sein!? ; )
As soon as I started my 2-hour, 6.5 km hike, I was sweating so much that I continued hiking in a bikini! The sheep didn't care, and the 3 residents I didn't meet couldn't care less!? ; )

Es ging Hügel rauf und runter auf vielen Wander- und
Schafwegen bis ich 2 Stunden später Dursey Point, den westlichsten Punkt erreichte.
Nach einem kurzen Rast ging es frisch und fröhlich zurück, nur brach einer
meiner Flipflops… Kein Problem, dann nehme ich die Schafwege auf dem weichen Grass
mitten durch die Insel zurück! Meine Flipflops hängte ich an einen Zaun –
vielleicht sieht jemand einen der seltenen 3 Einwohner hier mit meinen
Flipflops? ; ))
It went up and down hills on many hiking- and sheep-trails until I reached Dursey Point, the westernmost point, 2 hours later. After a short rest, I walked back fresh and happy, only one of my flipflops broke... No problem, I will take the sheep paths back on the soft grass right through the middle of the island! I placed my flip flops on a fence - maybe someone will see one of the rare 3 residents here walking around with my flipflops? ; ))

Als ich fast bei der Seilbahnstation war, sah ich
wie sie bald ankommen würde – also gab ich Vollgas und weiss nun wieder einmal
mehr, weshalb ich mich mein ganzes Leben mit Jogging übe!? : ) – Ich schaffte
es auf die Seilbahn und kann eine Wanderung auf dieser Insel barfuss aufs Beste
empfehlen!
When I was almost at the cable car station, I saw how it was about to arrive - so I gave a full throttle and now I know once more why I have been training running my whole life!? : ) – I made it onto the cable car and can highly recommend a barefoot hike on this island!

Auf dem Rückweg meldete sich der Hunger und ich
kehrte im O’Neill’s in Allihies (https://oneillsbeara.ie) zum Abendessen ein. Besser
gesagt ich setzte mich draussen an die Sonne und genoss langsam gekochtes
Irisches Rind mit Kartoffel- und Karottenpüree – mmmhhhhh… : )

On the way back I felt hungry and stopped for dinner at O’Neill’s in
Allihies (https://oneillsbeara.ie). Or
rather: I sat outside in the sun and enjoyed slow-cooked Irish beef with mashed
potatoes and mashed carrots – mmmhhhhh… : )
