Den
nächstbesten Gutwettertag packet ich am Schopf und nahm den Ring of Kerry unter
die Räder. Am Mittag fuhr ich los: 250 km in 7 Stunden – ohne grosse Pausen, nur
für Fotos und einen Spaziergang an den Kerry Cliffs. Einfach nur wunderschön –
die Fotos zeigen es…

stand Packen auf dem Programm – vieles neu ordnen nach 2 Wochen im Westland
Holiday Homes (https://www.discoverireland.ie/accommodation/westland-holiday-homes). Eine neue Bleibe hatte ich mit
Müh und Not gefunden, zwar die teuerste bisher auf dieser Reise, aber es
beruhigt ein Dach über dem Kopf zu wissen! Wie bereits erwähnt, sind die Preise
hier in Irland sehr hoch, wie fast schon überall in Europa, vergleichbar mit
der Schweiz. Und es passiert genau dasselbe: Die Menschen werden von den Medien
gesteuert (was und wie sie sein sollen) und sitzen im System fest, in dem man
zwar immer mehr verdient aber auch immer mehr für alles bezahlt! – Was soll das
eigentlich?! Die Leute arbeiten wie verrückt und bezahlen dann jeden Preis um
die wenige freie Zeit so gut wie möglich zu geniessen… die Spirale hört nicht
auf! Wir dürfen das nicht akzeptieren – nur so können wie den Konsumwahn und
die damit verbundenen Abfälle etc. stoppen!

With great difficulty I had found a new place for the next week, although the most expensive one on this trip so far, but it is reassuring to know that I have a roof over my head! As already mentioned, the prices here in Ireland are very high, as almost everywhere in Europe, comparable to Switzerland. And exactly the same thing happens: People are controlled by the media (what and how they are supposed to be) and are stuck in the system, in which you earn more and more, but also pay more and more for everything! - What's going on?! People work like crazy and then pay any price to enjoy the little free time as much as possible... the spiral doesn't stop! We cannot accept that – it’s the only way to stop the consumerism and waste etc. associated with it!

Strom ist
auch so ein Thema… bei den bereits hohen Preisen gibt es Besitzer, die den
Strom zusätzlich separat abrechnen. Grundsätzlich finde ich es gut, dass wir
das bezahlen, was wir brauchen. Und diese Methode macht viele sparsamer! Doch
wenn der Strom am Mietende abgelesen und -gerechnet wird, sollte es Richtlinien
und -preise geben! Im Internet findet man zwar den Preis von 0.51 EUR/kWh, aber
die Besitzer machen ihre eigene Rechnung, so habe ich hier noch 28% Taxen draufbezahlt.

Electricity is another issue... with the already high prices, there are
owners who bill electricity separately. Basically, I think it's good that we
pay for what we use. And this method makes many more economical! But if the
electricity is read and calculated at the end of the lease, there should be
guidelines and prices! On the Internet you can find the price of 0.51 EUR/kWh,
but the owners do their own calculations, so I paid here 28% tax on top of
that.
