Wieder
genoss ich einen ruhigen Tag im Holiday Cottages Portsalon (https://donegalportsalonholidaycottage.business.site) und ging joggen, sobald sich
das Wetter etwas besserte.
Again I enjoyed a quiet day at Holiday Cottages Portsalon (https://donegalportsalonholidaycottage.business.site) and went for a run as soon as the weather improved a bit.

Und am
Freitag war die letzte Etappe des 2500 m langen Wild Atlantic Way (https://www.thewildatlanticway.com) auf meinem Programm: 300 km entlang
der Küste zum nördlichsten Punkt Irlands, dem Malin Head, wofür ich 7 Stunden
benötigte… Eigentlich wollte ich die Fähre von Rahmullan nach Buncrana nehmen,
um die Strecke 1-2 Stunden abzukürzen – aber heute ging sie nicht… Sie war
nicht im Hafen und niemand konnte mir sagen weshalb. Ddie Leute schauten nur mit
verdutztem Geseicht zum Himmel, und der war ziemlich grau!
In Burt besichtigte ich den Grianan of Aileach, ein Ringfort mit 23 Meter Durchmesser, das etwa vor 1000 Jahren erbaut wurde. Auch Buncrana fand ich einen Stopp Wert un durchkämmte das kleine Städtchen…
And on Friday I had the last stage of the 2500 m long Wild Atlantic Way (https://www.thewildatlanticway.com) on my programme: 300 km along the coast to the northernmost point of Ireland, Malin Head, which took me 7 hours... Actually I wanted to take the ferry from Rahmullan to Buncrana to shorten the route by 1-2 hours - but today it didn't go... It wasn't in the harbourt and nobody could tell me why. The people just looked with puzzled faces at the sky, and that was pretty gray!
In Burt I visited the Grianan of Aileach, a 23 metre diameter ring fort that was built around 1000 years ago. I also found Buncrana worth a stop and combed through the small town…

Danach ging
es zum Malin’s Head, der sanft wirkte im Vergleich zu seinem dramatischen südlichen Bruder
Mizen Head, dem südlichsten Punkt Irlands. Ich umrundete die Halbinsel Inishowen und fuhr dem Lough Foyle entlang, der Irland von Nordirland trennt, dann zurück nach Portsalon.

Thereafter I drove to Malin’s Head, which seemed gentle compared to its dramatic southern brother Mizen Head, the southernmost point of Ireland. I continued surrounding the Peninsula Inishowen and drove along Lough Foyle, which separates Ireland from Northern Ireland, then back to Portsalon.
