Heute Morgen
war ich bereits um 6:30 Uhr wach – nervös wie immer, wenn eine Reise bevorsteht…
zudem musste ich noch alles in mein Auto verstauen! Und natürlich regnete es… kaum
hatte ich meine Dachbox offen, füllte sie sich mit Regenwasser! Ich versuchte es
als Zeichen zu verstehen… : ) Um 11:30 Uhr war ich dann endlich startklar und
verabschiedete mich bei der grossartigen Lola und The Range (https://www.sykescottages.co.uk/cottage/County-Carlow-Davidstown/The-Range-29694.html).
150 km und
2 Stunden später erreichte ich den Flughafen Dublin, unterwegs gab es viele
Staus wegen Unfällen. Mein Emirates (https://www.emirates.com)
Flug war zwar erst um 22 Uhr heute Abend, aber ich hatte vor meine Koffer schon
mal aufzugeben – das würde mir viel Stress ersparen… aber der Emirates Schalter
öffnete erst 3 Stunden vor dem Flug…
This morning I woke up at 6:30 am - nervous as always when I'm about to travel... in addition I still had to pack everything into my car! And of course it was raining... as soon as I opened my roof box, it filled with rainwater! I tried to take it as a sign... : ) At 11:30 am I was finally ready to leave and said goodbye to lovely Lola and The Range (https://www.sykescottages.co.uk/cottage/County-Carlow-Davidstown/The-Range-29694.html).
150 km and 2 hours later I reached Dublin airport, there were a lot of traffic jams due to accidents along the way. My Emirates (https://www.emirates.com) flight wasn't until 10 pm this evening, but I had planned to check in my bags - that would save me a lot of stress... but the Emirates counter didn't open until 3 hours before the flight…

dann das Nächste auf meinem Programm: Ich hatte um 14:30 Uhr bei Bru Na Boinne
(https://heritageireland.ie/places-to-visit/bru-na-boinne-visitor-centre-newgrange-and-knowth)
eine 2- stündige Knowth Tour gebucht. Newgrange liegt 45 km nördlich vom
Flughafen Dublin und nur 20 km und 20 Minuten vom Platz, wo ich mein Auto
überwintern werde! Alle Touren in der grössten megalithischen Ansammlung Europas
starten in Newgrange. Ein herrlicher Spaziergang führte mich durchs Museum und über
eine Brücke zur Bushaltestelle nach Knowth. In Knowth wurden wir von Ishka
erwartet, die uns mit vielen interessanten Informationen bestückte und uns um das
grösste Ganggrab Europas mit 90 m Durchmesser führte. Die Anlage wurde 3300 v.
Chr. erbaut und man fand DNA Ursprünge aus Anatolien – wieder rückt Ägypten
näher! : )
Okay, then the next thing on my programme: I had booked a 2-hour Knowth tour at 2:30 pm in Bru Na Boinne (https://heritageireland.ie/places-to-visit/bru-na-boinne-visitor-centre-newgrange-and-knowth). Newgrange is 45 km north of Dublin Airport and only 20 km and 20 minutes from where I will be storing my car during the winter! All tours in Europe's largest megalithic landscape start in Newgrange. A lovely walk took me through the museum and over a bridge to the bus stop to Knowth. In Knowth we were awaited by Ishka, who gave us lots of interesting information and took us around the largest passage tomb in Europe with a diameter of 90 m. The complex was built in 3300 BC and DNA were found originating from Anatolia - Egypt is getting closer again! : )

Nun war
es Zeit mein Auto einzustellen und mich langsam auf meine nächste Reise zu begeben…
Ich rief ich Ben Maede der North East Car Storage (https://carstorage.ie) an um meine genaue
Ankunftszeit durchzugeben und 20 Minuten später stand ich in seiner Anlage in Painestown.
Ben empfing mich herzlich und mir erklärte, dass diese Garagen einst eine
Champignonzucht waren – deshalb trocken und warm, genauso wie ich es für mein
Gepäck im Auto gewünscht hatte! Und was für ein Service er mir bot, wissend,
dass ich zum Flughafen muss: Er fuhr mich zum nächsten grösseren Ort Navan, wo
er mich seinem Freund Danny (+353863729117) übergab!
: ) Danny hatte sich aus Langeweile ein Taxi angeschafft und grossen Spass
Leute kennenzulernen und herum zu chauffieren! Und das merkte man gleich, denn
mit interessanten Gesprächen war die 30 km lange Fahrt viel zu kurz!
Now it was time to store my car and slowly proceed to my next journey... I called Ben Maede from North East Car Storage (https://carstorage.ie) to advise my exact arrival time and 20 minutes later I arrived at his facility in his Painestown. Ben welcomed me warmly and explained to me that these garages once were a mushroom farm - therefore dry and warm, just as I wished for my luggage in the car! And what a service he offered me, knowing that I had to go to the airport: He drove me to the nearest bigger village Navan, where he handed me over to his friend Danny (+353863729117)! : ) Danny had bought a taxi out of boredom and since then great fun meeting people and chauffeuring them around! And you noticed that right away, because the 30 km long journey was far too short with our interesting conversations!

Am
Flughafen Dublin nahm es die erste Einchecktante sehr genau und ich musste umpacken…
statt 35 kg hatte ich 40 und im Handgepäck (mein Büro) waren 7 kg zu viel! Ich
liess meine beiden Koffer wie sie waren mit der Konsequenz dafür bezahlen zu
müssen, aus meinem Handkoffer nahm ich den Laptop in eine separate Tasche (die
ich für solche Fälle immer dabeihabe) und ging zurück zum Check-in. Diesmal rief
mich ein lächelnder junger Mann zu seinem Schalter, drückte beide Augen zu und
liess alles durch! : ) Ich packte meine Laptop wieder zurück in mein Handgepäck
und begab mich zum Abflugterminal. Übrigens muss man in Dublin nichts aus dem
Handgepäck entfernen – alles wird durchgescannt so wie es ist.
Erleichtert
und dankbar setzte ich mich hin und liess den heutigen Tag und meine Zeit in Irland
dankbar Revue passieren… Heute war Vollmond und numerologisch eine 9 – alles stand
auf Neuanfang… zudem war diese Nacht Zeitumstellung (nicht in Dubai), Halloween
und ein weiterer Bank Holiday – und ich flog allem davon! ; ) Irland ist ein
wunderschönes und wundervolles Land, wo die Natur noch Platz hat und die Leute
meist noch naturverbunden sind! Deshalb hab ich mich so wohl gefühlt hier –
meine Vision hat mich in ein Land geholt, wo meine Seele heilen konnte – Danke!!!

At Dublin
airport the first check-in lady took it very seriously and I had to repack...
instead of 35 kg I had 40 and in my hand luggage (my office) there were 7 kg
too much! I left my two suitcases as they were with the consequence of having
to pay extra, I took the laptop out of my hand luggage into a separate bag
(which I always have with me for such cases) and went back to check-in. This
time a smiling young man called me to his counter, closed both eyes and let
everything through! : ) I packed my laptop back in my hand luggage and went to
the departure terminal. By the way, in Dublin you don't have to remove anything
from your hand luggage - everything is scanned as it is.
Relieved
and grateful, I sat down and recalled today’s day and my time in Ireland...
Today was full moon and numerologically a 9 - everything meant a new
beginning... and this night was switch to standard time (not in Dubai),
Halloween and another Bank Holiday - I flew away from all! ; ) Ireland is a
beautiful and wonderful country, where there is still space for nature and most
people are still very close to nature! That's why I felt so comfortable here -
my vision took me to a country where my soul could heal - thank you!!! : ))
