Um 11 Uhr
waren meine Siebensachen im Auto und ich bereit für die Weiterreise… es war
Zeit mich von Briged, Pat und meiner gemütlichen Wohnung
The Cozy Barn (https://www.facebook.com/people/Kellys-Self-Catering/100065203432211) zu verabschieden und Briged gab
mir 2 selbstgebackene Kuchen mit auf den Weg. : )
At 11 am my belongings were in the car and I was ready to continue my journey... it was time to say goodbye to Briged, Pat and The Cozy Barn (https://www.facebook.com/people/Kellys-Self-Catering/100065203432211) and Briged gave me 2 homemade cakes to take with me. : )

Frühstück fuhr ich nach Lahinch, denn dort gibt es im Spooneys (https://www.facebook.com/spooneys99)
das beste Eis bisher in Irland! Das Wetter war nicht gerade rosig – gut hatte
ich die Cliffs of Moher bereits besucht… und es war geradezu ideal um sich in
eine Höhle zu verkriechen…
For breakfast I drove to Lahinch, because at Spooneys (https://www.facebook.com/spooneys99) I had my best ice cream in Ireland so far! The weather was not exactly rosy - well, good I had already visited the Cliffs of Moher... and it was nothing less than ideal to crawl into a cave...

Und ich
hatte Glück – denn nicht nur ich hatte die Idee die Doolin Caves (https://doolincave.ie) zu besuchen, deshalb
waren alle Führungen heute ausgebucht… aber die nette Lady an der Kasse liess
mich mit der nächsten Tour mitgehen, da ich Alleinreisende war! : ) Ich war
schon in vielen Höhlen unseres Planeten, aber die Doolin Caves sind sehr
speziell: Mit Irischem Humor und viel Info wurden wir zum 7,3 m längsten
freihängenden Stalaktiten in Europa geführt, der ca. 10 Tonnen wiegt und etwa ½
Million Jahre alt ist – er wächst 1 cm in 50 Jahren! Auch Stalaktiten und
-miten wachsen… nur sehhhr langsam - Leben ist Veränderung!
And I was lucky - because not only I had the idea to visit the Doolin Caves (https://doolincave.ie), that's why all tours were fully booked today... but the nice lady at the till let me go with the next tour as I was a solo traveller! : ) I've been to many caves on our planet, but the Doolin Caves are very special: With Irish humour and lots of information we were led to the 7.3 m longest free-hanging stalactite in Europe, which weighs about 10 tons and is around ½ million years old – it grows 1 cm in 50 years! But stalactites and -mites do grow... only veeery slowly - life is change!

Kinvara… und ich sammelte unterwegs die ersten Eindrücke des energetischen
Burren…
Thereafter I drove more or less directly along The Wild Atlantic Way (https://www.thewildatlanticway.com) and along the coast to Kinvara… and I got my first impressions of the energetic Burren along the way...

Um 16 Uhr
erreichte ich die Kinvara Suits by Trident (https://www.tridentholidayhomes.ie/rentals/apartment-kinvara-kinvara-holiday-accommodation-top-339437.html), wo Liz mich empfing und in
meinem hübschen Studio einwies. Ein Hüngerchen trieb mich fürs Abendessen ins Pier
Head (https://pierheadkinvara.ie),
ansonsten genoss ich meine neue Bleibe, die sich durch den Kachelofen herrlich
erwärmte. : )

where I met Liz who showed me around in my lovely studio . A little hunger
drove me to Pier Head (https://pierheadkinvara.ie)
for dinner, for the rest I enjoyed my new home, which was wonderfully warmed by
the fireplace. : )
